20/21 Ghana Premier League matchday 21: Title hopes of Olympics suffer setback after 4-1 defeat to Dwarfs

Great Olympics have seen their hopes of winning the 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season suffer a setback after losing 4-1 to Ebusua Dwarfs on Saturday evening.

The capital-based club after impressing in the first round of the ongoing season has a good chance of fighting for the league title.

Going up against Ebusua Dwarfs today, Great Olympics needed to win to go top of the league table.

In a game played at the Cape Coast Stadium, coach Annor Walker’s side appeared out of form and as a result suffered a shocking defeat to an unpredictable Ebusua Dwarfs side.

On the matchday, Simon Martey and Kofi Elia scored for the home team in the first half before a strike from Michael Asamoah and Enoch Affram in the second half sealed the win for the Crabs.

Meanwhile, exciting attacking midfielder Gladson Awako netted the consolation goal for Great Olympics in added time with a belter.

The result means Great Olympics stay in third on the league table while Ebusua Dwarfs climb to 8th.
