20/21 Ghana Premier League matchday 24: WAFA SC come from behind to stun Medeama SC 2-1

Published on: 12 May 2021

WAFA SC on Wednesday afternoon recovered from an early goal to defeat Medeama SC 2-1 in the Ghana Premier League.

The Academy Boys in the past month have been playing some delightful football although some results did not go in their favour.

Today, the side from Sogakope visited the Akoon Park in Tarkwa to take on Medeama SC in a matchday 24 encounter of the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.

As a result of a slow start to the match, the visitors trailed after just two minutes when Prince Opoku Agyemang scored to shoot Medeama SC into the lead.

Failing to equalize in the remainder of the first half, WAFA SC returned from the second half to stun the home team.

In-form teenager Enoch Asubonteng scored to restore parity for the side in the 53rd minute before a goal in the final minutes sealed the 2-1 win for the Academy boys.
