WAFA SC continued their impressive form in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday afternoon as they posted a 2-1 win over Ebusua Dwarfs at the Sogakope Red Bull Arena.
The team from Sogakope prior to today’s fixture had gone three matches unbeaten and pushing hard to climb into the top four of the league table.
In a game serving as a matchday 27 encounter of 2020/2021 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign, Enock Asubonteng opened the scoring for WAFA SC when he equalized in the 56th minute on the back of a goalless draw.
Although Ebusua Dwarfs will fight to draw level through a strike from Richard Addai in the 81st minute, an own goal in the final minutes saw the home team take a deserved lead.
With the match ending 2-1 in favour of WAFA SC eventually, the team has climbed to sixth on the Ghana Premier League table and just one win away from making the top four.
