A resilient performance from Ashanti Gold SC has seen the team drawing 2-2 against Hearts of Oak in the Ghana Premier League.

In a game played at the Accra Sports Stadium, the visitors proved to be the better side in the first 20 minutes of the first half. Unfortunately for them, all their efforts were denied by goalkeeper Richard Attah.

Subsequently, when the game turned on its head, Hearts of Oak enjoyed the better of possession before going on to score through Kojo Obeng Jnr in the 32nd minute.

With the remaining minutes of the half producing a lot of excitement, neither side could go into the break with the lead.

After recess, Hearts of Oak continued to create chances but due to the wastefulness on the part of the attackers, the Phobians could not add to their tally.

In the 56th minute, David Abagna produced a magical moment to find striker Hans Kwoffie with a sweet through ball. The experienced attacker made no mistake but buried his effort to restore parity for the Miners.

Heading to a draw, Hearts of Oak upped their game, determined to bag all 3 points at all cost.

Fortunately, the side managed to continue creating chances with Kojo Obeng Jnr scoring his second in the 80th minute to give Hearts a 2-1 lead.

From there on, all looked lost for Ashanti Gold SC until Hans Kwoffie popped up with his second goal of the game in added time to secure a point for the Miners at the end of the game.
