A delightful performance from West Africa Football Academy (WAFA) on Sunday afternoon saw the side defeating Berekum Chelsea 2-0.
The two teams were in action at the Sogakope Park this afternoon for a Matchday five encounter of the ongoing 2020/2021 Ghana Premier League season.
Following a very bright start to the match, WAFA managed to score in the 13th minute to take the lead courtesy of a strike from Augustine Boakye.
In the entertaining match-up that ensued between the two teams from there on, neither side could score with the scoreline staying the same at the break.
Although Berekum Chelsea stayed strong in the second half, the team was completely shutout by the academy boys.
Later on, WAFA will increase their lead through star man Daniel Lomotey in the 69th minute en route to eventually winning 2-0 at the end of the 90 minutes.
With today’s win, WAFA keeps its second position on the standings of the Ghana Premier League.
