President of the Sports Writers Association of Ghana(SWAG), Kwabena Yeboah believes Ghana will qualify to the semi-final of the 2018 Africa Women’s Cup of Nations and subsequently qualify for the 2019 Women’s World Cup in France.

The Black Queens were drawn alongside Algeria, Mali, and Cameroon in Group A with many Ghanaians dubbing it as the Group of Death'.

Veteran sports broadcaster Kwabena Yeboah is confident each team will fancy their chances of qualifying but has backed Ghana to make the last four alongside South Africa, Cameroon, and Nigeria.

“I think we can fancy our chances in that group, with Ghana and Cameroon emerging from that group and Nigeria most definitely going to the final. SA a very strong side so I am looking at Ghana, South Africa, Cameroon and Nigeria in the semi-final and the last three for the World Cup, Ghana will make it,” he told Starr Sports.

Eight teams are due to gather in Accra and Cape Coast over a two week period to determine the queens of African football with Ghana’s Black Queens determined to do what the men couldn’t do ten years ago.
