2019/20 Ghana Premier League Matchday 10 Preview: Liberty professionals v Aduana Stars

Published on: 16 February 2020

Ghana Premier League defending champions Aduana Stars will hope to return to winning ways later this afternoon when they take on Liberty Professionals at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Parl.

The Dormaa-based club is winless in its last two matches and in dire need of a victory to keep its hopes of remaining in the top-four as well as clinching the league title at the end of the season alive.

With league leaders Berekum Chelsea losing to Inter Allies on Saturday, Aduana Stars will be extra motivated for today’s encounter especially knowing that 3 points will potentially send them to the top of the standings in the division.

Standing in the team’s way this weekend is Liberty Professionals whose inconsistencies leaves them in danger of falling into the relegation zone.

A poor run of form after playing 9 matches sees the side sitting 13th on the league log with just 10 points. Losing today to Aduana Stars could prove catastrophic as they will likely end up in the red zone at the end of the matchday.

With that said, the Scientific Soccer Lads are expected to put up a good fight today and will try to win to earn all the available 3 points.

The encounter between the two teams has been set up nicely with the stakes high for each side to yearn for a positive result.

In this preview, pundits at footballghana.com foresee 3 or fewer goals at the end of the 90 minutes. Yahaya Mohammed will be a threat and could be a factor that helps Aduana Stars to win eventually.

Predicted scoreline.

Liberty Professionals 0-2 Aduana Stars
