2019/20 Ghana Premier League Matchday 14 Report: Dwarfs come from behind to beat King Faisal 2-1

Published on: 11 March 2020

The woes of King Faisal have been worsened after suffering a 2-1 defeat to struggling Ebusua Dwarfs at the Cape Coast Stadium on Wednesday afternoon.

Alhaji Grunsah's team is the worst-performing club in the ongoing Ghana Premier League season and has failed to record a single win thus far.

Last weekend, they managed to draw goalless with giants Medeama Sporting Club. That hard-fought draw gave their fans the confidence that they could actually win their next match to end the long run of defeats.

Having traveled to Cape Coast today, King Faisal managed to take the lead on the 43rd minute through a strike from Godfred Danso to send the side into the first half break with a deserved lead.

In the second half, however, a below-par performance from the away team allowed Ebusua Dwarfs to take control of the match and score two goals.

First, Seidu Abubakari found the back of the net on the 60th minute to draw his team level, before he added a second to complete his brace on the 76th minute.

The defeat means King Faisal remains bottom of the Ghana Premier League standings.
