Ashanti Gold SC defeated Techiman Eleven Wonder 2-0 to maintain their 100% start to the 2019/20 Ghana Premier League season on Sunday.
The Miners, who yet to concede a goal recorded another convincing win at the Len Clay stadium after only three matches played so far.
The home side took the lead in the 29th minute through Emmanuel Owusu before Mark Agyekum doubled their lead with a fine strike after receiving a pass from Abdul Latif Anabila on the stroke of halftime.
After the recess, Eleven Wonders missed a glorious chance to reduce the deficit in the 49th minute after they were awarded a penalty but Seth Osei blasted the spot kick over the crossbar.
The win lifted Ashgold to second on the league table with nine points just behind Aduana Stars on goals difference as Eleven Wonders dropped to the relegation zone.
