Elmina Sharks were held to a goalless by WAFA on match day three of the Ghana Premier League on Sunday Elmina

Sharks were frustrated by an injury-hit WAFA side after they failed break down the Sogakope based side that was ravaged by injuries.

Injuries to four key players meant WAFA went into the game as underdogs despite winning their two opening games against Karela United and Ebusua Dwarfs.

Sharks came close to open the scoring after a quarter of an hour after Raphael Ocloo's cross was headed wide by Benjamin Tweneboah.

Sharks were forced to make a change when defender  Suraj Ibrahim went down injured in the 20th minute of the game. He was replaced by Joy Fumador.

Fumador made an immediate impact just before the first half when his goal was ruled out for offside.

Both teams improved after the recess but failed to take their chances as they shared the spoils at the end of the game.

The result leaves Sharks at the bottom of the league table.
