Ghana Premier League giants Accra Hearts of Oak has climbed from behind to defeat Liberty Professionals 2-1 at the Dansoman Carl Reindorf Park this afternoon.

The two clubs based in the Greater Accra Region went into the fixture today in hopes of bagging 3 points at the end of 90 minutes to improve their respective positions on the division standings.

Liberty Professionals who played as the home team at the Carl Reindorf Park started off with a bang as they took the lead less than five minutes into the game. A thumping header from defender Mike Sefa was enough to send his team into the halftime break on the winning side.

In the second half, Hearts of Oak improved their performance as they searched for the equalizer that will bring them level. They continually piled pressure on the host but could not break their defense even after the hour mark.

In the final 10 minutes, the changes of manager Edward Nii Odoom yielded results with substitute Benard Arthur getting on the scoresheet to bring the scoreline to one-all.

Two minutes later, Kofi Kordi continued his fine form to the season as he fired in Hearts of Oak's second goal of the game to earn them a 2-1 win at the end of the 90 minutes. This is the second win for the Rainbow lads and gives the team confidence ahead of their clash with arch-rivals Asante Kotoko next weekend.
