With the 2019/2020 Ghana Premier League season starting this Sunday, current holders Aduana Stars are set to come up against Inter Allies in their opening game of the season.

The two-time Ghana Premier League champions will face the Tema-based side in a crucial encounter that will be played at Nana Agyemang Badu Park as both teams look for a good start to the campaign.

They disappointed in the recently held Normalization Committee Special Competition but will look to properly challenge for the title once again this season.

So far they have signed former Ebusua Dwarfs right-back Isaac Kwain as well as known goal-scorer Nicholas Gyan. In addition, they have recruited youngsters Alfred Opoku, Benjamin Owusu and Flavio Kouassi Kongoza to help them in the upcoming campaign.

For Inter Allies, they know they will need to do better than their last showing in the Ghana Premier League where they missed relegation by a slim margin.

They will want to go to Dormaa this weekend to get a good result to ensure they build on that in subsequent matches.

Having suffered an abysmal 6-0 defeat at the hands of Aduana Stars the last time they visited, head coach Tony Lokko will hope he changes the narrative.

Their main man for the upcoming campaign will be Victorien Adje Adebayor who has been exceptional for the club since his arrival. He will get assistance from top players including Mohammed Zakari, Richmond Nii Lamptey, Hashmin Musah, Michel Otou, Abdul Nassiru Hamzah and Nigerian forward Effiong Nsungusi.
