2019/2020 Ghana Premier League Match Week 7 Report: Dreams FC 0-1 Hearts of Oak

Published on: 02 February 2020

Accra Hearts of Oak has bounced back from their defeat to Asante Kotoko last weekend to post a narrow 1-0 win against Dreams FC today at the Dawu Park.

In a Match Week 7 fixture of the Ghana Premier League today, the Phobians put up another good show to take all three points from the Still Believe Lads at the Theatre of Dreams.

In the first half of the match, both sides played some good football but struggle to create clear cut goal scoring opportunities. At the end of the half, it remained goalless with both sets of attackers failing to make good use of half chances.

An improved second-half performance from Hearts of Oak paid off on the 55th minute when striker Kofi Kordzi found the back of the net to give the side the lead. The in-form attacker twisted and turned on the edge of the Dreams FC 18-yard-box before firing a low shot that found its way into the back of the net.

Despite creating some decent chances of their own, Dreams FC could not get the equalizer to restore parity. At the end of the 90 minutes, the Phobians travel back to Accra with all 3 points bagged.
