2019 AFCON qualifier: Daniel Opare handed late Black Stars call-up ahead of Kenya clash

Black Stars head coach Kwesi Appiah has handed a late call-up to Royal Antwerp defender Daniel Opare to replace Reading defender Andy Yiadom ahead of their final Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Kenya on Sunday.

Yiadom, who picked an injury last weekend as Reading were held by Stoke City in the English Championship match pulled out of the match.

The 27-year-old won’t be fit for the game, hence coach Kwesi Appiah has decided that he must stay in England to begin treatment over the injury with Daniel Opare being called to replace him.

Ghana will welcome the Harambee Stars to the Accra Sports Stadium in the final Afcon qualifier to decide who tops the Group F.
