Trabzonspor striker Caleb Ansah Ekuban has expressed his happiness after scoring on his debut for the senior national team, the Black Stars of Ghana on Saturday.

The 24-year-old scored the only goal on the 82nd minute of the game for coach Kwesi Appiah's side in their 1-0 win over Kenya at the Accra Sports Stadium in the final 2019 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier.

Speaking after the game, the former Partizani Tirana forward couldn't hide his joy after registering his name on the scoresheet for Ghana in his first match.

"It's quite amazing," he told reporters

"The first thing, as a striker, you want to do is to score so when you get the opportunity and you score it feels like it is not even real. I am really happy,”

Ekuban has made 21 appearances and scored four for Trabzonspor in the Turkish Super Lig so far this season.

He is currently on a season-long loan at Trabzonspor from English Championship club Leeds United.
