Black Satellites of Ghana are eyeing early qualification to the next stage of the 2019 All Africa Games ahead of their second group game against Senegal on Wednesday.

Ghana defeated Burundi 2-1 in their group opener at the Stade Municipal and a win over Senegal will secure their place in the next stage of the competition.

Medeama star Tahiru Awudu bagged a brace to hand the Black Satellites all three points.

Speaking to the media after the first game, Yaw Preko said he was pleased with the performance of his players and backs his players to deliver against Senegal.

“I am very pleased with the results because the first game of every tournament is very important and difficult to win so I am excited for my boys.”

“We are taking each game as it comes and I believe my boys will be mentally and physically fit and ready for our next game against Senegal”, he added.

Ghana will play Mali in their last group game on August 24.
