2019 U-23 AFCON qualifier: Coach Ibrahim Tanko names 21-man squad for Gabon clash

Black Meteors of Ghana head coach Ibrahim Tanko has named his final 21-man squad to face Gabon in the 2019 Africa U-23 Cup of Nations qualifier over the weekend.

The final list includes 11 foreign-based players and 10 locally-based players.

11 of the home-based players comprises of Ibrahim Moro, Emmanuel Sarpong, Elvis Kyei Baffour, Caleb Amankwah, and Tahiru Awudu and others arrived in the country on Monday.

The foreign-based players invited for the crucial clash are set to arrive in Ghana on Tuesday ahead of the crucial qualifier.

Paderborn striker Bernard Tekpetey, Musah Nuhu, Joseph Paintsil, Majeed Ashimeru, Osman Buakari, Kwamena Owusu, Yaw Yeboah, Evans Mensah and others have all been invited for the crucial game.

Ghana will welcome Gabon to the Accra Sports Stadium on March 23.

This 2019 edition of the U-23 Nations Cup will be held in Egypt between November 5-22.
