Legon Cities FC have finally ended a run of five matches without a win in the Ghana Premier League after beating Elmina Sharks 2-0 at the Paa Kwasi Nduom Park on Monday afternoon.

The team coached by Maxwell Konadu has struggled since the 2021/2022 Ghanaian top-flight league commenced.

Especially in the last five matches of the campaign, Legon Cities have been terrible after losing three games and drawing the other two.

Gradually pushed into the relegation zone, it took a spirited performance from payers to make the first step towards turning things around.

Today, the Royal club played as a guest to a struggling Elmina Sharks side that looks determined to suffer the drop to the lower league at the end of the season.

Courtesy of goals from Nasiru Moro and Augustine Dosu, Legon Cities FC cruised to a 2-0 win to amass the maximum points.
