2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 16: King Faisal beat RTU 2-0 to end winless streak

Published on: 05 February 2022

King Faisal on Saturday afternoon posted a 2-0 defeat on Real Tamale United (RTU) to end a four-game winless run in the Ghana Premier League season.

The team from Kumasi in the last few weeks has disappointed fans after failing to win any of their last four matches.

In that poor run, the team lost 16 points and are now out of the top four of the Ghana Premier League standings.

Today at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium, King Faisal returned to action when the team hosted RTU in a matchday 16 encounter of the ongoing 2021/22 Ghanaian top-flight league campaign.

On the matchday, goals from David Oppong Afranie and Enoch Morrison in the second half after a quiet first half saw King Faisal cruising past RTU with a delightful victory at the end of the 90 minutes.

The three points are a massive boost for King Faisal as the team pushes to challenges for the league title.
