2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 24: Elmina Sharks deepen the woes of King Faisal

Published on: 10 April 2022

Elmina Sharks defeated King Faisal 1-0 at the Nduom Sports Stadium on Sunday to return to winning ways in the Ghana Premier League.

The bottom-placed club won the close encounter thanks to Ishmael Antwi's strike.

In the 83rd minute, the defender scored the game-winning goal, giving Sharks all three points and sentencing King Faisal to yet another defeat in the league.

The Kumasi-based team has now gone six league games without winning or drawing, placing them at risk of relegation.

The victory gave them the needed incentive to develop and maintain their league standing.

King Faisal is struggling to get points in the ongoing Ghana Premier League, this made club owner Alhaji Grusah join the technical team of the club in their last game.

The Kumasi based club will play Accra Lions in their next game while Sharks take on champions Accra Hearts of Oak.
