2021/22 Ghana Premier League matchday 25: Accra Lions beat struggling King Faisal 1-0

Accra Lions on Sunday afternoon deepened the problems of Kumasi based club King Faisal at the Baba Yara Stadium.

In the 15th minute, Frederick Asante soared high to head home a cross from left-back Fatawu Hamidu as 10-man Accra Lions departed Kumasi with all three points.

King Faisal got off to a good start, with Ibrahim Osman receiving the opening chance of the game but failing to convert.

After the break, King Faisal substituted Sam Ortiz for Ibrahim Osman to help the hosts' offense, and a few minutes later, Kwadwo Frimpong challenged goalkeeper Fredrick Asare.

After a fight with Kwadwo Frimpong, Fredrick Asare was sent off around the hour mark, forcing Accra Lions boss James Francis to substitute goal scorer Asante with Appiah Kubi.

Accra Lions will play Accra Hearts of Oak in their next game and King Faisal will try to get w win against Dreams FC.
