Real Tamale United (RTU) on Sunday afternoon played outstandingly well to defeat Ashanti Gold SC 2-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
The Tamale-based club today hosted the matchday five opponent of the 2021/2022 Ghanaian top-flight league to battle for points.
Having started the game very well, RTU had a hand on the opponent and took advantage to cause all sorts of trouble.
Eventually, in the 38th minute, the home team took a deservedly lead through a fantastic strike from Ismael Nketia.
With that goal separating the two teams at halftime, RTU resumed the second half to continue to dominate the game.
After several chances were created, RTU doubled their lead in the 59th minute when Nurideen Mohammed Yussif scored with a great finish.
Although Ashanti Gold SC will play well in the last 30 minutes, the team was unable to score and in the end, had to succumb to a 2-0 defeat at the end of the contest.
