Real Tamale United (RTU) poster boy, David Abagna scored for the team again on Wednesday night when the side labored to hold Asante Kotoko to a 1-1 stalemate in the Ghana Premier League.
The league’s newcomers today played as a guest to the matchday 8 opponent of the 2021/2022 Ghanaian top-flight league in a game played at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium.
Despite the efforts of both teams, the first 45 minutes of the exciting encounter failed to produce a goal.
Three minutes into the second half, Asante Kotoko had the breakthrough when Cameroon import Frank Thierry Mbella scored with a fine effort.
Although it looked as if the Porcupine Warriors will run away with the three points, RTU stayed resilient and pushed until the team equalized later in the game through danger man David Abagna.
Eventually, the contest ended in a stalemate with both teams forced to accept to take home one point each.
