Medeama SC stretched their unbeaten run in the Ghana Premier League to six matches on Wednesday afternoon when the team defeated Legon Cities FC 1-0.
The team from Tarkwa prior to today had gone five matches without losing after recovering from a poor start to the 2021/2022 Ghanaian top-flight league season.
At the Akoon Park today, Medeama SC hosted Legon Cities FC to battle for points on matchday 8 of the campaign.
Following a bright start to the match, the home team scored through captain Tetteh Zutah to take a deserved lead in the 22nd minute.
In the remainder of the match, both Medeama SC and Legon Cities FC created some good goal-scoring opportunities but neither side could find the back of the net.
Eventually, Medeama SC held on to win 1-0 to secure all three points from today’s contest.
The result sees Medeama SC climbing the league table to the seventh position while Legon Cities FC drops to 14th.
