2021/22 GHPL: Aduana Stars striker Bright Adjei confident of winning goal king award

Aduana Stars striker Bright Adjei is highly optimistic of winning the Ghana Premier League goal king award at end of the season.

The 27-year old was on target for the Ogya lads in their 1-1 draw against Medeama SC on match week 27 at the Nana Agyeman Badu II Park on Monday.

The goal was Adjei's 13th on the season in the league, tied up with third-placed Augustine Okrah with Kotoko's Frank Etouga Mbella and Ashanti Gold forward Yaw Annor occupying the 1st and 2nd spot with 18 and 16 goals respectively.

"Anything is possible with Ghana Premier League goal king. We have 7 games to go," he said after the game.

"I’m working hard to make sure God can grant me goals match after match. Things very tough for us because look at Aduana, we are even struggling to score."

Adjei was named NASCO Player of the Month for February and will receive a 43 inch television set from Electroland Ghana Limited.

He scored a total of five goals out of four matches played in February beating off competition from Franck Mbella Etouga and Emmanuel Annor.He also won the NASCO Player of the Match award three times.Aduana Stars will travel to Kumasi to take on league leaders Asante Kotoko on match week 28 at the Baba Yara stadium on Sunday.
