Asante Kotoko forward George Mfegue has set sights on scoring more goals for the club in the ongoing 2021/22 Ghana Premier League season.

The Cameroonian scored twice in the Reds' 3-2 defeat to King Faisal, heading home twice in the second half.

Mfegue is unhappy that his goals could not fetch the three points but is elated to have opened his goal accounts and is also eager to score more.

"I am happy that I scored not just once but twice on the day", he told the club's official website. Goals are part of the reasons I am here and so I am elated that I showed people; the fans that I have that quality."

"I wish to score more goals in the coming games and most importantly help my team to win.

"It would have been an excellent day for me if we had won, but sadly we didn’t and that puts a dent on my goals but we have moved now."

Kotoko are currently 1st on the league standings with 13 points after six matches played so far.
