Columbus Crew defender Harrison Afful was the first to withdraw followed by Mubarak Wakaso who broke his hand and has undergone successful surgery.

On Monday, debutantes Mohammed Salisu and Christopher Antwi-Adjei also pulled out of the squad due to injury and passport bureaucracy respectively.

However, the 59-year-old has managed to replace Harrison Afful and Mubarak Wakaso in the squad with Hearts of Oak's Fatawu Mohammed and Gideon Mensah respectively.
