2021 AFCON qualifiers: Four local players get Black Stars call-up ahead of Sudan clash

Four local players have been handed Black Stars call-up by coach Charles Kwablan Akonnor of the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sudan later this month.

These players include Richard Attah (Hearts of Oak), Kwadwo Amoako (AshantiGold), Habib Mohammed (Asante Kotoko) and Yahaya Mohammed (Aduana Stars) following their mouthwatering performances for their respectively clubs in the Ghana Premier League.

Highly-rated goalkeeper Richard Attah was recently named as the player of the month for Hearts of Oak for the month of February.

Richard Attah kept four clean sheets in five appearances in February as he propelled the Phobians to 9th on the league table with 17 points, six points adrift leaders Aduana Stars.

In-form striker Yahaya Mohammed has scored an incredible 10 goals in just 12 games for the Aduana Stars in the on-going season.

Kwadwo Amoako of AshantiGold and Asante Kotok's Habib Mohammed have also played key roles for their respective clubs as they lie 5th and 4th respectively on the league table with 21 points each.
