Brentford could miss the services of Ghana international Tariqe Fosu-Henry in key games during the 2021 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) tournament.

The versatile player has not been involved in much of the action since the Bees commences their campaign in the 2021/2022 English Premier League.

Nonetheless, he is still one of the key players in the team that could prove crucial if the fixtures start to pile up and gets a toll on the regular starting eleven players.

Due to his exploits with the Black Stars earlier this year, it is likely he will be considered by the Ghana national team for next January’s AFCON.

Should he be invited, Tariqe Fosu-Henry will miss Brentford’s game against Liverpool as well as two FA Cup matches.

Below are fixtures Fosu-Henry could miss during the 2021 AFCON:

Port Vale vs Brentford (FA Cup third round), 8-9 January

Liverpool vs Brentford 15 January

Brentford vs Wolverhampton Wanderers, 22 January

TBC (FA Cup fourth round), 29-30 January
