Bechem United failed to snap their four-game losing streak after recording a 1-1 draw with Elmina Sharks at home on Sunday.
The Hunters came into the game having lost four of their last five league games and desperately needed a good result to get their season back on track. Unfortunately, they could not get the job done.
Both teams created opportunities in the first half but the goal was lacking. However, the game promised goals in the second period.
Elmina Sharks broke the deadlock shortly after the hour mark but Bechem United answered in the 74th minute from the penalty spot.
Emmanuel Boakye Owusu stepped up from 12 yards and made no mistake with the finish.
Bechem are 11th on the log with 33 points and Elmina Sharks are 15th with 30 points so far.
