Ebusua Dwarfs managed to put an end to their three-game winless streak following a 2-1 victory over Liberty Professionals on Sunday.
Ahead of the match, the Mysterious Dwarfs had recorded three losses from their last five league games and were searching for a breakthrough. They were able to find that thanks to goals from Seidu Abubakar and Enock Afram.
Liberty Professionals had the better start to the game and went ahead in the 11th minute thanks to a goal from Michael Laryea. Ten minutes later, the hosts restored parity after Seidu Abubakar's strike found its way into the net.
The two teams went into the break on level terms and were hungry for the remaining 45 minutes. In the second half, Ebusua Dwarfs showed more grit and were rewarded deep in injury time. Enock Afram found the net to seal victory for the home team.
The Cape Coast-based side are now 11th on the league log and the Scientific Soccer Lads are 17th.
