The opening weekend of the new Ghana Premier League season will see Ebusua Dwarfs taking on Elmina Sharks in a derby on Sunday, November 15, 2020.
After as many as 10 months, the coast is clear for the 2020/2021 football season to commencee this weekend and will see games in the top-flight league being played this weekend.
Among many matches that are set to light up the local league, there will be the local derby between Central Regional Clubs Ebusua Dwarfs and Elmina Sharks.
The two clubs have enjoyed a healthy rivalry in past years and are tipped to put up a show this Sunday. On the matchday, the Crabs will have the advantage as the home team when they host the Sharks at the Cape Coast Stadium.
In a pre-season where both clubs have picked up wins, the stage is set for fireworks on the matchday. Although Elmina Sharks struggled last season, they have a good feel factor around the team now and are poised to pick up the maximum points.
For Elmina Sharks, they go into the fixture as the favourites owing to the fact that they managed to keep hold of their best players from the past season and also made a few additions.
If Coach Yaw Preko gets his team to play to instructions, they should coast to a comfortable win on the road.
