2021 Ghana Premier League matchday 25: Alex Aso nets brace as Inter Allies thump Chelsea 5-0

Published on: 16 May 2021

Inter Allies got back to winning ways with a 5-0 thumping of Berekum Chelsea at home on Sunday afternoon.

Allies came into this game having won just one game in their last five league outings and desperately needed a good result to keep their survival hopes alive.

They got just that with a big win. Alex Aso opened the scoring just three minutes in with a fine strike and found the net again one minute later, scoring a quick brace.

The hosts went into the break with a fairly comfortable 2-0 lead. Despite leading, the Capella boys did not take their feet off the gas and were rewarded with another goal in the 65th minute thanks to a strike from Richmond Lamptey.

Samuel Armah rubbed more salt into the wound of Berekum Chelsea, finding the net in the 71st minute.

They did not end there. In the 83rd minute, Nafiu Sulemana rose highest to head home the side's fifth on the day.

Inter Allies remain bottom of the log with 23 points and Berekum Chelsea places 12th with 30 points.
