Asante Kotoko head coach, Prosper Narteh is pleased with his side's goalless draw against Karela United in the Ghana Premier League on Sunday.
The Porcupine Warriors dropped points for the first time this season but maintained their unbeaten run in the league.
Despite the result, Kotoko stay on top of the table, three more points ahead of second-placed King Faisal who drew 0-0 with Medeama SC in Kumasi.
"I think from where I stood, I saw Agadas getting the ball but maybe the referee was very closer so he had a clear view," coach Narteh said after the game.
"We had no option than to make some tactical variations and also changes by bringing in Keyekeh and Sheriff to contain their pressure after the red card."
Karela were dominant and had the best opportunities in the first half but Kotoko defended gallantly to keep their unbeaten run unscathed.
The Porcupine Warriors fought hard to hold on to the game for a draw – Karela United’s first point at home against Asante Kotoko since they gained promotion to the Premier League in 2018.
Asante Kotoko will take on second-placed King Faisal on match week six at the Baba Yara stadium.
