King Faisal held Hearts of Oak to a goalless draw on Thursday night at Baba Yara Sports Stadium in week 12 of the 2022/23 Ghana Premier League.
The draw leaves the Phobians four points off the top spot, with the In Sha Allah lads just a point away from the drop zone.
King Faisal had a bright start, with Baba Yahaya crashing the bar inside ten minutes. Hearts of Oak dominated the opening quarter, coming close through a free kick.
There was a penalty shout from the hosts but the referee Samadji Joshua waved away their calls. Chances fell to both sides but none utilized them as the first half ended goalless.
King Faisal mounted late pressure towards the end of the game with double chances but Hearts of Oak were solid at the back.
The game eventually ended goalless.
King Faisal will next play Tamale City at Baba Yara Sports Stadium while Hearts of Oak host Samartex, all on Sunday.
