While Accra Lions would go on to play well, the team could not hold onto the lead before the break.
The hosts equalised through Samuel Atta Kumi in the added time of the first half to make it 1-1.
In the tough clash, both teams put up a strong display in the second half in an attempt to net the winning goal to secure the maximum three points.
At the end of the contest, it was Accra Lions that was successful. The team secured a 2-1 win thanks to a strike from Dominic Amponsah in the 87th minute.
