Tamale City will lock horns with in-form Accra Lions at the Aliu Mahama Stadium on Sunday, March 5, 2023 in week 19 fixture of the Ghana Premier League.
The Ghana premier League newcomers will be hoping to avenge their defeat against Lions in the first half of the campaign on home turf.
The Tamale-based club have not been bad in their last five games, winning two and drawing three in the process. The last game they lost was against King Faisal on January 15.
Having shared the spoils with Legon Cities in mid-week, Tamale City will be seeking to bounce back to winning ways.
Currently in the relegation drop, they will approach the game with all seriously, knowing a win against Accra Lions could move them out of the drop.
Meanwhile, the high-flying Accra Lions is leaving no stone unturned as they seek to maintain their winning run having defeated Karela United at way in mid-week.
Ibrahim Tanko’s side are enjoying a good campaign and are currently without a defeat in their last three games. The last time they suffered defeat was against Kotoko on February 6, 2023.
They sit third on the league with 31 points, trailing log leaders, Aduana Stars by five points.
While yearning for top four finish, Tamale City are seeking for survival in the top-flight.
