2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 25: Karela Utd hold on to beat Samartex 1-0 with ten men
A resilient performance from Karela United has seen the team beat Samartex FC 1-0 in the Ghana Premier League.
The two Ghanaian top-flight league clubs locked horns this afternoon in a Week 25 encounter of the league season.
In the close contest that ensued between the two teams, Karela United finished the game with ten men.
Regardless, the team did enough to ensure the three points stayed in Anyinase.
A solitary strike from Richard Berko in the injury time of the first half handed Karela United the narrow 1-0 win to secure the win.
Although Samartex FC would fight to try and score in the second half, the team failed in its efforts and had to succumb to defeat.
Courtesy of the win, Karela United have climbed further away from the relegation zone and is now 11th on the league table.
Meanwhile, Samartex FC are now 9th on the league log.
