Accra Hearts of Oak beat ten-man Nsoatreman 2-1 in their match week 26 game which was played at the Accra Sports Stadium on Sunday evening.

The Phobians possessed the ball more in the opening minutes while applying significant pressure to the visitor's defense.

In the game's fifteenth minute, Nsoatreman FC defender Philip Ofori handed Hearts of Oak the lead by putting a free kick from Linda Mtange into his own net.

Albert Dieudonne Eonde of Hearts of Oak came within inches of doubling their advantage in the 18th minute, but goalkeeper Daniel Afadzwu stopped him.

Hearts of Oak kept up their outstanding play from the first half after the break in an effort to widen their lead.

After a feed from Congolese midfielder Linda Mtange, Baafi wonderfully pushed in the second goal for Hearts of Oak, before the visitors cut the lead to one two minutes later.

Substitute Samuel Ofori scored Nsoatreman's only goal in the encounter in the 68th minute.

Hearts of Oak is 3rd on the league table with 42 points and Nsoatreman drops to 16th with 31 points.

The Phobians will play Bechem United in their next league game while Nsoatreman will play King Faisal.
