Published on: 19 May 2023

Nsoatreman FC made their home advantage count after defeating Real Tamale United in week 31 of the Ghana Premier League on Friday.

The Premier League debutants inflicted a 1-0 win over the Pride of the North at the Nana Kronmansah Park to secure the three maximum points.

The win ensured Nsoatreman FC are back to winning ways following defeat to Legon Cities in their last league clash.

Knowing exactly what’s at stake, coach Mumuni Abubakari came up with a strategy that yielded a positive result for the host.

Despite creating scoring opportunities, both teams were unable to find the back of the net in the first half.

However, after the break, Nsoatreman FC proved superiority and found the back of the net to snatch a narrow win over RTU.

Emmanuel Kotei’s strike in the 47th minute mark was enough for the home team to cruise to an important victory.

Prior to the game, Nsoatreman FC were found in the relegation zone but the win ensured they move out of the drop.

Nsoatreman FC are currently tied on 40 points with RTU but the Pride of the North are better off on the league table with goal difference.

RTU and Nsoatreman FC are 11th and 12th respectively on the league table with three games to end the 2022/23 season.
