2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 33: Match Report – King Faisal 3-1 Legon Cities

King Faisal's attempt to beat relegation received a major boost on Saturday afternoon at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Stadium. 

The Kumasi-based club beat Legon Cities 3-1 to give them a boost ahead of the final round of matches to end the season.

The Insha Allah lads started the game very well captured the midfield and pushed forward to get the first goal of the game.

Their pressure paid off in the 23rd minute, after a good move through the middle Abdul Latif gave the boys in green the lead.

The game was balanced as halftime approached, Legon Cities stepped up their efforts to at least equalize before going to the dressing room but their strikes went wide.

King Faisal headed to the dressing room with 1-0.

After the break, King Faisal again started well pushing more men forward. Both sides made some changes as the game rolled on.

Abdul Latif scored again and Yahaya Baba added the third goal for King Faisal in the 79th minute. Ebenezer Amegah scored the consolation goal for Legon Cities in the 76th minute.

King Faisal is 17th on the league table with 39 points and Legon Cities is 11th with 43 points.

King Faisal will take on RTU in the last game of the season and Legon Cities will clash with Samartex.
