2022/23 Ghana Premier League: Week 7 Match Report- King Faisal stun Karela United in Anyinase

Joseph Adu Dwomoh second half goal handed King Faisal victory over Karela United in matchday 7 of the Ghana Premier League.

Karela United hosted the Isha Allah boys at the Crosby Awuah Memorial Park on Wednesday afternoon but unfortunately lost the clash.

The first half of the much-anticipated game ended in a pulsating goalless draw despite both teams creating some scoring opportunities.

After the break, the visitors shot into the lead through Joseph Adu Dwomoh in the 60th minute mark.

Prior to the clash, Karela United had recorded a 100 percent record home record, having defeated Tamale City, Dreams FC and Bechem United.

But defeat against King Faisal means the unbeaten home run has come to an end.

King Faisal who had a poor start to the 2022/23 campaign is having a season turn around after a back to back wins in the league.

They defeated Kotoku Royals 2-1 in matchday 6 last weekend.

Cobbinah Amissah and his King Faisal side have moved out of the relegation zone following the win against Karela United.

They currently sit 15th position with 6 points after 7 matches into the campaign whiles Karela United sits 8th position with 10 points after 7 matches.

The 2022/23 Ghana Premier League will now go on breaks for the 2022 FIFA World Cup finals in Qatar.
