2022/23 Ghana Premier League Week 7: Match Report – Kotoku Royals 0-1 FC Samartex

On Thursday afternoon, FC Samartex beat Kotoku Royals 1-o. This game was the continuation of Wednesday's fixture which was suspended due to heavy rain which rendered the Cape Coast Stadium unplayable.

Both teams struggled to take control of the game in the first 45 minutes.

The Royals after halftime began to attack the Timber boys which drew applause from their bench but they failed to capitalize on the chances they created.

Godwin Abusah grabbed the first goal of the encounter for FC Samartex in the 67th minute.

Kotoku Royals made some changes and tried to get a goal but FC Samartex's back line stood firm and stop their effort from finding the back of the net.

Kotoku Royals is currently 17th on the league table with four points after seven games while FC Samartex is 14th with seven points after seven games.

Kotoku Royals will play Medeama SC in their next Ghana Premier League game while FC Samartex will take on Karela United.
