2022 FIFA WCQ: Black Stars thrash Soccer Interlectuals 8-0 in friendly ahead of Zimbabwe game

Ghana warmed up for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifier against Zimbabwe with a huge 8-0 win over lower-tier outfit Soccer Intellectuals on Wednesday, October 6, 2021.

Nicknamed the Black Stars, the national team of the West African country will face the Warriors of Zimbabwe in a doubleheader encounter in the October international break.

Still getting to know his team, new Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac has today had the chance to better assess his invited players.

The experienced tactician watched on from the dugout as his team dominated play in a friendly match against Soccer Intellectuals.

In a game played at the Cape Coast Stadium, teenage sensation Issahaku Fatau bagged a brace, same as in-form Stade Rennais talisman Kamaldeen Sulemana.

There were additional goals from Benjamin Tetteh, Mohammed Kudus, and Joel Fameyeh to power the Black Stars to the big win against Soccer Intellectuals.

Training will resume tomorrow in an intensified manner before the world cup qualifier against Zimbabwe is played on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
