The technical team of the Ghana Black Stars have dropped five players from the squad invited for the doubleheader against Zimbabwe for the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.
The Black Stars in the October International Break are scheduled to face the Warriors twice in a Group G encounter of the Africa qualifiers to next year’s world cup.
In September, new Ghana head coach Milovan Rajevac named a 32-man provisional squad to do battle for the national team.
Ahead of the first leg of the meeting, the technical team has now dropped five of the players bringing the number down to 27.
The excluded players include Ismail Abdul Ganiyu, Tariqe Fosu Henry, Joseph Alfred Duncan, Mubarak Wakaso and Emmanuel Gyasi.
Ghana is scheduled to play the Warriors of Zimbabwe in a double header with the 1st leg set for the Cape Coast stadium on Saturday, October 9, 2021.
The remaining 27 players will open camp in Cape Coast o Tuesday to prepare for the upcoming encounter.
