Ghana coach Milovan Rajevac has heaped praise on Swindon Town goalkeeper, Jojo Wollacott following his impressive display in their 3-1 win over Zimbabwe in the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers on Saturday.

The 25-year-old made his debut for Ghana against the Warriors following the absence of Richard Ofori who has been sidelined for the past four weeks with an injury.

The result moves Ghana to six points from three matches after two wins and one defeat in the qualifying series.

"It's all about good scouting. Since he arrived in camp, he proved himself at the training sessions," Milovan Rajevac told reporters after the game.

"He did very well and deserves the chance [to start for Ghana]. I was satisfied with his performance in today's game. I don't want to praise him much but he did a good job for the team."

Wollacott has made nine appearances this season for Swindon Town FC, keeping four clean sheets.

He is expected to start against Zimbabwe on matchday four of the 2022 World Cup qualifiers on Tuesday in Harare.
