Some football fans are shocked to see Odion Ighalo named in Nigeria's squad to face Ghana in the upcoming 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers later this month.

The Al-Hilal forward is part of the 32-man squad named by coach Augustine Eguavoen ahead of the crucial doubleheader.

Nigeria will open their training camp in the city of Abuja on March 21 before they travel to Cape Coast four days later to take on the Black Stars.

The reverse fixture is scheduled to take place at Abuja's Moshood Abiola National Stadium on March 29.

The winner over the two legs will qualify for the World Cup to be played in Qatar later this year.
