Ghanaians don’t believe in us but we will beat Netherlands – Black Princesses midfielder Cecilia Nyama

Black Princesses midfielder, Cecilia Nyama has expressed disappointment in the lack of support given to the team at the 2022 FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup.

According to her, Ghanaians never believed in the team even before they left the country for Costa Rica to participate in this year’s tournament.

Speaking to Atinka FM this afternoon, she said despite the lack of belief in the team, they are determined to beat the Netherlands in the final match of the group stage.

“Ghanaians didn’t believe in our team even before we departed for this World Cup but they should start believing that we can bring the trophy and it will come to pass. We will surely beat the Netherlands in our last game,” Cecelia Nyama shared.

The Black Princesses have lost to USA and Japan in the first two group matches at the 2022 FIFA Women’s U20 World Cup ongoing in Costa Rica.

Unfortunately, even a win against the Netherlands in midweek will not be enough to save the Princesses from elimination.
