Nigeria striker Victor Osimhen insists the Super Eagles won't take Ghana for granted ahead of their 2022 FIFA World Cup final play-offs second leg tie.

The Super Eagles were held to a goalless draw in the first leg last Friday at the Baba Yara Sports stadium in Kumasi.

Nigeria must win their match against Ghana in Abuja on Tuesday, March 29, 2022 at the Moshood Abiola Stadium for a ticket to Qatar 2022.

"Ghana is a great team and we will never underrate the team just as we've been doing, we saw the upset the Central African Republic gave to us," Osimhen told cafonline.com

"For me, I would do my best, but it's not just about me, we have some inspirational players in the team like Ahmed Musa, Odion Ighalo, Kenneth Omeruo and other great players. With the help of their experience, we'll be able to actualize this dream.

"We know the importance of the game to us, our families, careers and the entire nation. This game is more than just football and we will give our best and also try to make sure we have the upper hand."

The winner of the tie will represent the continent at the World football showpiece which is scheduled to take place from November 21 to December 18.

The Super Eagles are seeking to qualify for the global showpiece a 7th time and, since 1994, have missed only one of seven editions. The last of three appearances by Ghana was in 2014.
