2022 World Cup qualifier: Ghana captain Andre Ayew to be first player to arrive for Zimbabwe clash

Ghana captain Andre Ayew is set to be the first player to arrive in the country ahead of the 2022 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Zimbabwe.

Ayew has been an incredible form for his Qatari side, Al Sadd, scoring four goals in four games so far this season.

The 31-year-old will spearhead Milovan Rajevac's new Black Stars when they take on Zimbabwe at the Cape Coast Stadium on Saturday, October 9, 2021.

The Black Stars will be aiming to bounce back to winning ways after suffering a 1-0 defeat to South Africa.

Ghana are second in the Group G table with three points, having won 1-0 against Ethiopia in the opening game of the qualifiers.

Also, Thomas Partey, Mohammed Kudus, Kamaldeen Sulemana, Jordan Ayew, Andre Ayew, Daniel Amartey amongst others are expected to arrive in Ghana on Monday.

Home-based players including Richard Attah, Philemon Baffour, Abdul Ganiu Ismail, and Abdul Fatawu Issahaku will also be joining camp today.
